28-Night Roadmap

Spring Year 1: Day-by-Day Vampire Action Plan

Your initial 28 nights in Moonlight Peaks dictate your farm layout, mining shortcuts, and economy for the entire year. Follow this day-by-day checklist to avoid missing festivals, deadlines, or tool upgrade slots:

Day 1

Awakening & Farm Groundwork

Focus: Farming
Key Objectives:
  • Wake in the stone coffin at 6:00 PM; review almanac and clock
  • Clear 15 debris tiles near cottage using your old scythe and axe
  • Hoe 10 crop tiles, plant starter Blood Radish seeds, and water each tile
  • Return to coffin before 3:30 AM (Avoid 4:00 AM collapse penalty!)
Nocturnal Tip: Never stay outside past 5:30 AM. Sunlight begins scorching your vampire skin immediately at sunrise.
Day 2

Town Registration & First Introductions

Focus: Social
Key Objectives:
  • Head east into town center to register at Town Hall with Mayor Orlock
  • Introduce yourself to shopkeepers: Alina (Apothecary) and Dragan (Carpenter)
  • Collect wild Nightshade herbs along the town hall garden paths
Nocturnal Tip: Town buildings are safe indoor zones where daylight exposure meters pause completely.
Day 3

First Chest & Wood Gathering

Focus: Survival
Key Objectives:
  • Chop fallen branches around your farmstead to gather 50 Regular Wood
  • Craft your first Wooden Storage Chest; place it beside your coffin door
  • Store unneeded tools and seeds to free up inventory slots
Nocturnal Tip: Inventory space is tight early on. Never carry the scythe and fishing rod into the mines.
Day 4

River Foraging & First Harvest

Focus: Farming
Key Objectives:
  • Harvest your first batch of ripe Blood Radishes (Fast 4-day growth)
  • Sell 5 radishes in your farm shipping crypt for quick startup capital
  • Forage wild Moon Berries along the southern riverbank
Nocturnal Tip: Keep at least 2 radishes in your pocket to munch on for nocturnal energy during late-night chores.
Day 5

General Store Seed Expansion

Focus: Farming
Key Objectives:
  • Visit the General Store with your radish profits
  • Purchase 15 Strawberry seeds (repeat-harvest crops produce maximum profit)
  • Plant strawberries in compact 3x3 plots for future sprinkler alignment
Nocturnal Tip: Strawberries planted before Day 6 yield 3 full harvest rotations before Spring concludes.
Day 6

Cave of Echoes Exploration

Focus: Mining
Key Objectives:
  • Head northeast to the Cave of Echoes entrance
  • Meet the miner resident and unlock your initial Old Pickaxe
  • Gather 10 Stone and 5 Copper Ore from surface rocks
Nocturnal Tip: The cave is entirely underground: you can mine here safely even while the sun is up outside!
Day 7

Sunday Market & Resident Roster

Focus: Social
Key Objectives:
  • Check the Sunday Night Square for traveling merchants and rare seeds
  • Talk to remaining town candidates to complete the 'Meet 23 Townsfolk' objective
  • Organize storage chests by seeds, foragables, and building materials
Nocturnal Tip: Meeting all 23 residents in Week 1 unlocks community mail gifts and relationship tracking.

Core Mechanics

4 Golden Rules of Vampire Farm Survival

Unlike typical farming games, you are a creature of the night. Violating these biological rules will result in emergency collapses and lost gold:

🚨 Critical Rule

The 4:00 AM Coffin Curfew

Vampire farmers operate strictly between 6:00 PM and 4:00 AM. Collapsing outside at 4:00 AM causes emergency coffin rescue, losing 20% of your wallet coins and resetting half your next day's stamina.

Actionable Survival Tips:
  • • Always start walking or flying home when the clock strikes 2:30 AM.
  • • Keep a stack of stamina-restoring Moon Berries or Radishes in your hotbar.
  • • Sleeping in your coffin immediately saves your game progress.
⚠️ Warning Rule

Sunlight Burn & Shade Protection

Direct exposure to sunlight after 6:00 AM causes your vampire skin to sizzle, dealing 15 damage per second. If your HP reaches zero, you collapse into a heap of ashes.

Actionable Survival Tips:
  • • Stand under roof verandahs, tree shadows, or inside cave mines to pause sun damage.
  • • Equip high-brim sun hats and brew Sunwarden elixirs once alchemy is unlocked.
  • • Use Bat Form flight to quickly dart between shadows if caught outdoors at dawn.
💡 Optimization Rule

Mana vs. Physical Stamina

Physical tools (Pickaxe, Axe, Hoe) consume yellow physical stamina. Spells, shapeshifting, and enchanted watering cans consume cyan Mana. Running out of either leaves you exhausted.

Actionable Survival Tips:
  • • Drink Quick Mana Draughts brewed in your cauldron to restore 120 Mana on demand.
  • • Resting on garden benches or farm hammocks slowly regenerates stamina without skipping time.
  • • Upgraded copper and silver tools cut both stamina and mana consumption significantly.
💡 Optimization Rule

Nocturnal Weather Synergy

Rainy and thunderstorm nights are a vampire's greatest blessing. Rainfall automatically hydrates all 100% of outdoor crops and removes all sun exposure penalties during dawn.

Actionable Survival Tips:
  • • Plan deep mining expeditions and long social outings specifically on rainy nights.
  • • Stormy nights spawn rare bioluminescent lightning beetles along the marshlands.
  • • Never pay to upgrade your watering can on a sunny day; always submit it on a rainy morning.
First 10 Minutes

New Player Emergency Quick-Start (Night 1)

  1. 1. Open your Almanac Clock: Note that your night starts at 6:00 PM and ends at 4:00 AM sharp.
  2. 2. Clear only 10-15 tiles: Do not exhaust yourself clearing the whole farm on Night 1; clear just enough to plant starter crops.
  3. 3. Plant & Water starter Blood Radishes: These will sprout on Day 4 and provide your first batch of spending coins.
  4. 4. Walk into Town Center: Find Town Hall to trigger the intro quest and unlock resident map markers.
  5. 5. Sleep in your Coffin before 3:30 AM: Never risk pushing past 3:45 AM, as finding your way back in the dark takes longer than you think!
